Cross-Country, a demonstrative sport at the Winter Military World Games

It will be soon included into the official programme of the CISM and of the IOC

During the first Winter Military World Games Aosta Valley 2010, there will be a further fresh novelty, in addition to the traditional Winter sports, and to the emerging ones, like ski orienteering and indoor sport climbing.

On the 21st of March, the first competition day, there will be in Aosta even a cross-country CISM Grand Prix. In fact, the IOC has decided the introduction of cross-country into the programme of the next Winter Olympic Games, and the CISM wanted to be a forerunner of this interesting initiative. Many athletes of different military forces will attend the race.
