An excellent organizing machine

From Saturday the Committee is working hard to contribute to the success of the event.

It is difficult to describe in a few words how such an event can be built and accomplished and the first edition of Winter Military World Games - Aosta Valley constitutes a perfect example of this. Many are the people, the means and the facilities that are leading to success a great event for Aosta Valley.

 

The intense daily activity shows how the amount of numbers and curiosities is important.
In the six places involved: Brusson (Biathlon), Cogne (Cross Country Skiing), Courmayeur (Indoor Climbing and Short Track), Flassin Saint - Oyen (Mountaineering Skiing), Grassoney Saint Jean and Pila (Alpine Skiing) we are working hard to guarantee the maximum effectiveness for 7 sport disciplines, Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Mountaineering Skiing, Orienteering Skiing, Biathlon, Climbing, Short Track. 40 hotels will host 800 people among athletes, staff and guests, 42 nations will be involved in the competitions and the forum Sport & Peace, 50 among chefs and waiters of the Italian Union of Chefs, section Aosta Valley and the regional Hotel School of Châ tillon, that have offered the catering service for the guests during the opening and closing ceremony of the event, with a menu of typical dishes, 120 busses will transport the athletes and their staff 1,000 guests at the dinner for the opening ceremony , 1,100 beds reserved in Aosta Valley for the event 20,000 meals served in the 6 days of the world championship 1,150,000€  is the budget of the event, entirely provided by Aosta Valley region.(In the picture Renzo Bionaz, Luigi Roth, Luigi Chiavenuto, Ivo Charrere).

Gran Prix CISM, successful first cross-country’s test

The winners are Cristina Artuso (Army) and Stefano Scaini (Fiamme Gialle)

The Cross-country Grand Prix CISM took place within the first Winter Military World Games; cross-country was a discipline presented as a demonstrative sport. The race, which covered a distance of 4600 mt for women and of 6900 mt for men, was opened to the FIDAS enrolled.
