China and Bulgaria in the limelight
Two gold medal for the Asians and the first achievement for Radanova.
Courmayeur march 24, 2010. Despite the forced absence of the Vancouver Bronze Medal Arianna Fontana stopped for an injury, one of the stars present at the military games, the 1500m Short Track competitions at Courmayeur’s ice rink impressed the public.
In the female competition, victory for the Bulgarian Evgenia Radanova, that repaired for her shallow performance on 500m. The European champion overcame the Chinese Huizhu Sun and the Austrian Veronica Windisch. 7th place for Katia Zini.
In the male competition, Chinese umpteenth triumph with Weilong Song and Xie Nie, respectively first and second. Bronze medal for the German Torsten Kroger. Only 6th Roberto Serra, after yesterday’s bronze medal.
Now, in Courmayeur, all the attention is focused on the closing ceremony that will take place at the Sport Palace tomorrow at 6 p.m.
