On the Foyer de Fonde's slopes victory of the italian team and of Soyer and Kaltenecker from the german team

(Flassin, March 21^st, 2010). It's Sunday, March 21^st . It's 10.04 am, Flassin. They are historical date and time for the Winter Military World Games which mark the very first victory of the event. The Italian athletes of the Army Sport Center, Manfred Reichegger and Dennis Brunod arrive at the first place at the finish line of the Foyer de Fond and win the world championship for ski mountaineering. As far as women are concerned, the victory goes to the German Beate Soyter and Simone Kaltenecker.

Also in Courmayeur the Winter Military World Games have begun, attracting much attention. The protagonists are 45 athletes for indoor climbing, 35 men and 10 women who compete at the artificial structures for the scheduled qualification. 17 nations take part in it.

The winners are Cristina Artuso (Army) and Stefano Scaini (Fiamme Gialle)

The Cross-country Grand Prix CISM took place within the first Winter Military World Games; cross-country was a discipline presented as a demonstrative sport. The race, which covered a distance of 4600 mt for women and of 6900 mt for men, was opened to the FIDAS enrolled.
